Of course back in May of 2006 when Ze Frank issued a challenge on his website to create the first earth sandwich I was too busy working to participate.  For the last 5 years it has been in the back of my mind, if I wasn't so busy doing what I do best, dramatically increasing sales of my employers, I could have participated in Ze Franks experiment and tried to put a piece of bread at one place and the other on the exact opposite side of the earth.

So now that I am not currently increasing sales well beyond my compensation through hard work, teamwork and creative solutions I thought ... now is the time to create an earth sandwich. I know I would not be the first to do this, like I was with some of the products, marketing campaigns and promotions that I created when I was employed, but still I just wanted to do it. So, to get inspired I watched the video blogs of the 2006 challenge. Then after sending out my resumes for the day, I found a map tool online where I could find two places on earth that were the exact opposite.

Since I am getting unemployment which could be a tax break for an employer who might hire me and, affords me the bread for this experiment I was ready to go.

Damn it! It is not possible to do it on the mainland of the U.S. The frustration of not being able to make the sandwich is almost as frustrating as employers not understanding that hiring me actually could make them money, not cost them. At least that has been the case in the past. Information of the only two places in the U.S. where there is a exact opposite land mass on the other side of the earth are online right next to my resume. This page is also links to a very entertaining video blog of people conducting Ze Franks's earth sandwich challenge.

Anyone not wanting to go online to find where the two places in the U.S. are, or want to talk to me about anything else I can be reached at 707-701-FIND (3463)

Kindest regards,

Garry Elliott
